help for a harried mother!

my family is everything to me. but sometimes it seems my whole life is poured into my kids and my husband that i do not have anything for myself left. when couples break they say , "i need space."

i definitely need that "break" but i know i cannot break away because as what that kid said in the movie DOLPHIN TALE (did i get that right?), "family is forever". just a temporary break from all this "harriedness"!

balancing a full work (yes, it's at-home work but it is still work) and super energetic toddlers is not an easy feat.  plus all the household chores and the cooking...uh-oh! i need help!

i am stressed out. it's no fun, well, sometimes.

but above it all, i am in love - with my family. no matter how harried i am, i find it unthinkable if i care less for my kids or would not give a damn for my husband. and i know, when i grow old i have something to look back to that's "unregrettable". i may not live my life to the fullest going on to my dream places, buying all my dream clothes, all the shoes i want and spend money to make myself beautiful but i don't care. when we die (and that's where we are all destined to go), we do not long for the material things we have acquired but for the people that we love and love us. i have them now.

anyway, my husband let's me off sometimes. that's an added bonus. : )

being a mother

once a woman becomes a mother, she'll always be one no matter how old her kids will be. motherhood is joyful but painful at the same time. it's simple yet complicated. it is a blessing with a burden. it's a lot of resposibility. yes, there are fathers but to whom does the kids look up to when they feel down, discouraged or in pain? mothers. it's hard raising up children. tons of responsibilities are attached. but seeing your kids grow and watching their progress is very fullfilling. never fails to make me smile and i am sure, mothers everywhere find this feeling mutual.
